Galvanized steel core wire of stranded core shall satisfy the requirements of the specification
of BS-4565: 1970; BS- 443:1982 and latest revision thereof. The stranded core wire will be
used to manufacture ACSR' DOG' conductor as per BS-215( Part- II) 1970 and latest revision
thereof. The lay factor of the steel wire shall be not less than 13 and not more than 20 times
the out side diameter of the stranded core with the lay in left hand direction. The steel core
wire shall be provided with suitable corrosion inhibitor either grease or oil whichever the buyer
prefers.
PACKING:
The stranded steel core wire to be supplied in single length 8.5 Km+1% in wooden Drum. The
wooden reel must be sturdy treated, wrapped with polythene paper of suitable rust & moisture
protection inside the wooden packing.
The dimensions of wooden reels are as follows:
Flange dia: 1200 mm
Bore dia: 90 mm
Flange thickness: 60 mm
Barrel dia: 650- 750 mm
Overall width: 815 mm
Sample: A sample of 5 meters, if not earlier used/ tested by THE BUYER for acceptance,
must be submitted with the offer.
