Our present production capacity is nearly 40,000 metric tons per annum, using aluminium scrap as its basic raw material. Capacity will be increased to about 100,000 MT when our investment project in Istanbul is completed within Q4 this year.
More than 50 percent of our present scrap requirements is imported from outside Turkey. With the inception of the new plant, our scrap imports will be more than doubled with special emphasis being placed on U. B. C. scrap as raw material.
